You certainly queued hours and hours in your life, and unless you’re a freak, we all know you absolutely love to queue. Yes, Yes, yes don’t nod, queues mean loads of things you pretend to hate but, secretly love. We totally understand it, we’re exactly like you! The queuing thing is the entire concept behind high-quality, things done the right way and worth waiting for.

Now imagine how long a queue can become when you combine what the entire world loves the most on earth; Paris, Pizza and Cheapness. Welcome to Pizzeria Popolare!
Behind what is probably the most successful restaurant in the French capital today, there is a group called Big Mamma that you certainly already talked/heard about. It’s the Seydoux family that owns all these high-quality Italian restaurants (Ober Mamma, Big Mamma, Mamma Primi and Pink Mamma etc.)

Regarding this restaurant, you’ll be amazed by the queue (of course) but also the size, the taste and last but not least the prices they practice at Pizzeria Popolare – 5 euros for a Margherita.

The insanely good-looking place is located in the 2 ème arrondissement – everything you see from the outside is thousands of bottles fo spirits nicely exposed on an orange background. Once inside you’ll notice the open kitchens, large familiar tables and very easy going decoration. The underground bar is a lot different; marble tables and leather sofas are overlooking the bar in a very British atmosphere.

Their menu offers a good variety of grandma’s Italian dishes; such as mozzarella in Carozza, fried octopus and other Italian treats that are changing with seasons, proving they care about the product they use. Their Pizzas are tender, lightly crusty and made with Italian products.
Now we know you would prefer to say we went to Popolare without queuing for an hour and a half. We sort of found a way to sneak the entire queue and suggest you contact us in order to have the insight.
Bella Zio !

Pizzeria Popolare is a super welcoming, super authentic pizzeria where you can get a sumptuous Margherita pizza for only five euros—just like in Naples. Imagine: two three-ton Salvatore Acunto ovens, San Marzano tomatoes from Paolo Ruggiero and buffalo mozzarella from Salvatore Corso that arrive fresh three times a week. Price-wise—by buying everything directly from the producers and thanks to our 250 seats—we manage to recreate the magic of Naples in the middle of Paris. That means that whether you’re ordering our house-made Italian ice cream (made with buffalo milk) or our house-brewed pints of lager, ale and IPA, they’re all only 5 €. To celebrate the good news, we have the biggest bar in Paris with 500 different alcohols and out of this world cocktails concocted by Alberto Sinibaldi. PS: from Thursday to Saturday, the ground floor transforms into a club. The Popolare bar opens at 18h and later on we push the tables aside, pump big Italian tunes and dance until 2 in the morning.
