Astonished by the crowd at iSteaks Diner while passing by during a non meal period made us dine in.
iSteaks Diner started as a humble stall in a coffeeshop selling western grills. Business bloomed and they seized the opportunity to expand. They are now located at Serangoon Gardens MyVillage in a well ventilated and air conditioned restaurant.
The ambiance here is of functional simplicity since they focus on a self-service concept. Diners will pick, order and pay at the main counter (beverages purchase at another). Orders will be served so diners can sit back, relax and wait for the yummies.
You’ll get huge portions of western grills where each main is accompanied by two sides. There is a good grill selection, such as chicken, pork, lamb, fish and beef. You can also order burgers, bites and pasta.
Recently, they introduced the 45 days dry aged beef to their menu. You will get to decide on the thickness of the steak and pay accordingly by its weight. A 200-250gm piece costs around SGD$34 – $42. Diners love it!
Medium rare is really excellent! The dry aged beef is very tender with an intense beef flavour. The smell of it is almost buttery with a slight toasty aftertaste. Every single cut of it flows flavourful au jus. Awww.
The complements for the mains are generous servings and pretty delicious too. Our favourites among them are the creamy spinach, the onion rings & the sautéed brussels sprouts.
The grill game going on might be the reason why many patrons are returning customers.
